Core Values
How each value applies to every role in our league.
🚫
Behaviors That Have No Place at RNLL
Taunting, bullying, cussing, threatening, harassing, making lewd or vulgar statements or gestures, spitting, throwing equipment in anger, threatening behaviors, shoving, hitting, or intentionally pitching at batters.
Progressive Discipline
Applies to parents, players, umpires, and coaches.
1
Verbal Warning
Issued by an umpire, Umpire in Charge, or Member of the Board. The infraction will be reported to the rules committee.
2
Removal from Game or Facility
If a player is involved, he/she will be ejected from the current game and may be disqualified from the next contest. If a coach or parent is involved, they must leave the facility and may be suspended from the next contest. The infraction will be reported to the rules committee.
3
Suspension from Future Contests
The incident will be reviewed by the rules committee and further penalties may be assessed, including additional suspensions and/or apology letters. Players or coaches with repeated infractions will be excluded from consideration for All-Stars, Hooligans, and Renegades.
Disclaimers: The board reserves the right to evaluate every incident independently and has the responsibility to ensure that the discipline matches the offense. If an incident involves interleague play, both league presidents and Umpires in Charge will adjudicate. Coaches have discretion to implement disciplinary measures in addition to league consequences.
