Major Baseball — Ages 10–12
2026 RNLL Local Rules. These supplement — and do not replace — the official Little League® Regulations.
- * One (1) year of Minor Division (or equivalent) required, unless league age 12, unless consented to by the League Player Agent and President.
- * League Age 9-year players are not eligible for the Major Division.
- In the event of a player not being able to complete a season, and the team roster drops below 10, The Team Manager must promptly report the loss to the Player Agents. The player agents, with the input of the manager, will make a determination of how to replace the lost player. This could include promoting a player from minors or moving a player from another majors team. NOTE: There will be no replacement of player lost during the last two (2) weeks of the season or during post- season tournament.
- Replacement Players: A minors player who moves up to majors will forfeit their position on their minors team. Any player who refuses to move up to replace a lost player is not eligible for the remainder of the season to move up.
- Temporary Replacement: If a team only has 7 players for a game, a temporary replacement may be acquired to avoid forfeit. The temporary replacement may be a minors player or a player for another majors team. The replacement player may not pitch or catch and must bat last in the lineup. This must be approved by a player agent prior to the game.
- Teams may start and play a game with only eight (8) players. The opposing team will not be required to reduce their lineup (defense or offense) to eight players.
- All players must play a minimum of two innings. If this is not met, the player must start the next game and play a minimum of three innings.
- Intentional walks are allowed. When used, no pitches will be thrown, but four pitches will be added to the pitcher’s total pitch count. A player may not be intentionally walked more than once a game.
- Coaches may call pitches.
- Regular season record will determine tournament seeding. If there is a tie, a coin flip will determine seeding. The highest seeded team will be the home team.
- A ten run mercy rule will be in effect after the fourth inning.
- There will be a two hour time limit.
- In the event of a tie after the time limit or the sixth inning, a runner will be placed on second base. The runner will be the player who was the last out in the previous inning.
- The league will provide two umpires per game.
